We are a small but very friendly club with a current membership of 25, and we warmly welcome new members. The club itself is based at the Gym and Tonic Health Club in Hay-on-Wye, run by our Chairman Cathy Lawford. She is also a level 3 personal trainer and the instructor for the club training sessions. We meet on Friday nights at 6.15pm unless prearranged, throughout the year.
We are very fortunate to be surrounded by amazing countryside and a wealth of places to run. Cathy runs the training based on a seven week loop, including interval training, hill, speed and long slow distance runs.
Before joining you are required to attend an induction at Gym and Tonic Health Club, this includes some static tests (blood pressure etc) and medical review. The annual membership fee is £20 and includes affiliation to Association of Running Clubs (ARC).
